What size leisure battery??

Hey guys,

What size leisure battery have you fitted if you are running a sound system and normal camping stuff off of it??

Im thinking around 95-115ah? If I went that big, what size split charge relay would be needed?

It's something you can do a lot of reading on, what size and what brand

Apparently some of the cheap leisure batteries are just re-badged normal type car batteries!
Also the way they sell themselves in amp hour can vary.
Search on google, I couldn't make my mind up, for a while I was thinking I would fit 2 cheaper leisure batteries hooked up together.

In the end I bought a Banner energy bull - not cheap, but atleast I know it will perform well and last a decent number of years

Our battery stayed charge all summer, we used the battery for lights, charging phones, tablets and speakers, as far as I know everything worked fine and the battery still has it's green light so in my book it's a great addition to our van !

HI, just thought I'd throw my hat into the ring. We have two 110 amp batteries. We also have a compressor fridge which is basically a mini version of the one in your house. Two batteries will run all electrics for a weekend away. We also run LED lights in the van which helps to keep consumption down.

Ive went for 2 x 110A batteries and 200W of solar power to keep me going that bit longer

I have a 110v battery that powers all item super fine including a 22` 12v tv all night long.
cheap and cheerful battery off ebay, £70
not yet used this out and about as conversion still on the go but sat it on drive and left these on.
My son informs me that he rarely uses 12v as always hook ups are available on sites but as a day van is needed.
cant wait to get out and about.
