Drive away awning

Postby Eighton » Wed Jul 04, 2012 8:29 am

If anyone has recently bought a drive away awning, what was the make and model and what do you think of it?
I'm after a one not too big that will get on to most campsites, sleep 2 teens and store a bit of kit.
Thanks

This is the drive away awning i had, if memory serves me right it was an Apache. it doubled the size of the van space and useful for all your kit if you go off on a jolly.

It used to be 12 years ago, i noticed i sold on ebay recently for about 800 quid, looked a sorry state, shame really as it was a mint van then.

We have a Vango Kela 2, with the air beam system. Works well but not cheap at £450.

As we do not have a side door and a high top we wanted something not to big and tall enough to be able to open rear doors into , this is what we got , only 100 new of ebay ,no ground sheet but has side and back door opening and roll up windows, great for storing our tables and chairs in when we go out and extra room for our dog

Hi, I may have just what you need. I got one with a camper that I do not need. It's a 'Royal Traveller Annexe', sleeps two and in immaculate condition. I'm in Inverness, but shortly to drive down to Heathrow and will bring it (within reason) to somewhere near you. New they are £175, so I'd take £75 if you are interested. Sorry, can't seem to upload piccy, but can email to you direct?
