DIY Pop up roof

Postby Scotwood59 » Tue Apr 21, 2015 1:55 pm

I have a 2001 SWB low roof Ford Transit (now named Riffraff) and I am looking to put a pop up roof on it. I found some discarded T5 roofs but soon realised they are way too long :(

I was hoping to have a non-canvas roof where the sides go up and support the roof as I don't necessarily need a bed. Just a bit of extra height for cooking etc.

Does anyone know what this is called? I was looking to ring round some scrap yards but I don't know what to ask for!!

Would I be better off getting a canvas roof? Am I being a bit ambitious?

Any suggestions gratefully accepted! :D

No, I didn't want a high roof.
