Rock n roll bed

Postby williejbell » Fri Jun 26, 2015 7:58 pm

Hello tranny fans, I want to take my grandkids out in my old gal. She's a mk5 conversion with a rock n roll bed already fitted, however no seat belts and the type of box base won't be any use for fittin belts to. Now to the point does anyone know where I can get one and get it fitted complete with 2 seat belts? Grateful for any info. Incidentaly I've tried a few suppliers on ebay but at the mention of a Mk5 tranny with the smiley face they all go" HMMMM!! Not the sort of thing we do"
Anyway tranny fans best wishes to all. Willie.PS. OH yeh of course I'm in Portsmouth.

Guessing cos ur on a mk5 a couple of grand for a crash tested unit would be out of the question... while some may have seatbelts they won't be approved.... bit of a black area according to these guys (who we manufactuer the framework for, They've paid for crash testing approval on their product and is a nice bit of kit):

Thanks for the link Bluevanman, very nice I'm sure they're worth every penny especially when it comes to safety tested etc. ,however Willie's wallet aint that fat and as much as I love my old girl I'm afraid it looks like I might have to upgrade to a bigger machine sometime soon. Best wishes, Willie.

Bit of thinwall box or one made of wood kid... we've just manufactuered another unit for a customer in aluminium!, I'll send the link once he's rolled 'em out.... I was working on some designs myself, but on the cheapest value for money thing I could do, but with some features like auto fall backrest and storage... more of a dayvan occasional sleeper unit...

I've seen rear seats that make a bed with seat belts from the euroline mk5 Transit that were/still are in newer mk's available in Germany, I'm looking for one myself. Did see one on ebay a few years back but didn't have the possibility of picking it up. Here's an example of a mk 6 http://otomoto.pl/oferta/ford-transit-t ... y7Oj3.html
another one for sale in germany only 500 quid :lol:http://www.ebay.de/itm/Ford-Transit-FT3 ... 25a8488974
