Fiamma Table Leg "Wobbly" any bright ideas?

Postby paulrichardson » Sun Jul 19, 2015 6:30 pm

Hi Guys,

I bought a brand new Fiamma table leg set with a recessed Floor socket a Chrome 28" leg and a socket for the table.

I fitted it and put it all together, but it's very wobbly.

Neither the top or the bottom connections are "tight" leading to movement of the table.

I've noticed that Fiamma have introduced a new leg with plastic ends, has anyone tried the new leg? is it any better?

I'm sure I'm not the first with this problem, hoepfully there is a fix that I don't know about.

Looking forward to any ideas, comments.

Regards,

Paul

Fitted the new one with plastic ends when converting my van,it holds really well, doesnt wobble,to be honest the table top large for one leg on mine, but the leg and brackets dont flex, but if leaned on the floor does a little, thats 3/4 marine ply!,so id say the new brackets are good,no flex/ wobble.

Hi,

Thanks for the information, sounds like the new style pole will solve my problem, I'll see if I can swap it.

Hi, forgot to say in last post, the plastic ends on new fiamma leg are slightly tapered,so they fit really well,no rattles etc.
Think this is the cure probs. with earlier design.

Hi Ian,

Managed to get my leg swapped for the new one and I agree with you, it's pretty amazing.

Apart from a very slight flex (probably the floor) it's perfect.

Thanks for the advice, I'm so pleased I swapped it.

Regards,

Paul
