Got van today, so it begins.

Picked up van today so let the work begin. It isn't a transit but an ldv convoy mini bus with transit 2.4 lt dt engine. The reason I had the ldv is that its transit running gear which I wanted. Hopefully it will serve me well. It has one owner, 04 year, full history and 70k on the clock and 12 months mot. I went on my bike and drove it back 190 miles with bike in the back and it never missed a beat. Did about 30-35 gallon .

Just a question why I'm typing. The roof is already lined with carpet and its glued on. Can I just glue insulation to carpet then ply over. tks.

I was going to buy one of those vans a while ago, you get a lot for your money. Yeah you can just ply over the top. Don't know if you have ever seen a site called "vandog traveller" more like a blog but he has used the same van as yours and it covers all the build issues he comes up against.
