Hello - I am converting a Transit MK7 2008 medium wheelbase, and would appreciate any advice from anyone who has installed a side door entry step. The Transit side door entry floor is quite high and as we are pensioners, we need to fit a side door entry step. I have been advised by a supplier, that I should fit a slide in/out step, as this would not cause any issues with speed humps. Evidently the drop down type of entry step, could cause clearance problems with speed humps when in the closed position. However, the slide in/out steps still seem to be high to step onto. The drop down type of step would be the better option for us, as the step in the down position is much lower/easier to step onto. So still unsure which would be the best one to go for. Would appreciate any advice from anyone who has installed Transit side steps, especially regarding the speed humps clearance issue. Thanks in advance.
