Mk8 Fresh & waste water tank suggestions...

Postby MBritz » Sun Jun 26, 2022 7:39 pm

Hi all,

Im new to the forum. I have a MK8 L2H2 already converted into a camper. Currently I have 10L fresh & 10L waste water bottles located inside the van underneath the sink which I have to take out and and refill/empty daily which is a pain in the rear. I have googled for tanks that are specifically made to fit the MK8 transit but did not come up with anything that I can be sure will work 100%.

Can anyone recommend a solution to get the two tanks mounted under the van? Ideally I want approx 30-50L of fresh water. I'm not bothered about the waste water capacity as I will install a solenoid valve to empty it remotely when it is full.

Thanks,

Matt

I had 2 tanks made to my dimensions and spec that I’ve mounted behind the cills. They hold approx 35 Ltrs each and were made by Goodwin Plastics near Crewe. Lovely company to deal with and offer a fantastic service. I strapped them underneath with stainless steel straps bolted to the underside. To say they were made to measure they didn’t cost me any more than a ready made tank that wouldn’t have been really what I wanted to begin with.
