Hi all, first post. Hoping the experts here can help identify the camper conversion on my late father's Mk1 Transit. It's coming up for sale and I want to advertise it honestly and accurately.
What I know:
- 1969 Ford Transit Mk1, first registered April 1969
- 1700cc V4 Essex petrol
- White, original colour
- One registered keeper since at least 2012
- Currently SORN'd, but runs and drives
- 97,071 miles indicated
- Fixed fibreglass high-top roof (not a pop-up/Dormobile style)
What I don't know:
Who did the conversion. No obvious maker's badge found yet. Interior is walnut-effect Formica cabinetry, two-burner hob with grill, fold-down worktop, square plastic sink with hand-pump tap, floral fabric backrests on burgundy carpet-effect seats, red/pink curtains throughout.
Condition (honest): rust around the windscreen surround, prop shaft needs attention, generally scruffy but complete and original-looking inside. Spare wings available (need repair).
Any help identifying the converter would be hugely appreciated — CI, Canterbury, Jennings, or something else? Photos attached. Happy to take more close-ups of anything specific.
Thanks in advance.
