calor gas regulator and position of pipes and t junction q

ok, got to the stage of buying a regulator etc for the camper conversion but did i hear somewhere that when you tee-off to all the different gas appliances its better to place the tee junction higher or lower than the bottle to avoid some green or blue gunge building up?
or does it just not matter?

all of our installs have been above the bottles...
we use multitap manifolds as well as it means you can isolate individual things to work on em
