Van tarting...rear vinyl or....?

Postby allthingsmx » Wed May 20, 2009 8:26 pm

Hi, want to tart/convert the rear of my van up.

Its used for carrying bikes and going to the motocross.

Its a 54 plate mwb semi high.

I want the floor to be something like vinyl, for oil/mud to be washed up easy.

The vinyl I am looking at is race themed...http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TARKETT-Black-Whi ... 7C294%3A50

Do you think this would suite it? possibly take it so far up the sides also.

I origionaly was going to get it all alloy chequre plated out, but was costing around 285 just for the floor!

Any other ideas?

Thanks

I've found the best stuff to use is that Anti-Slip industrial floor paint

Lino will stretch

Umm... really want to keep the ply lining down though, so the floor doesnt get damaged... plus want it a bit more water tight so it can be hosed out?

Thats why i was thinking vinyl... :)

the commercial lino type flooring you get in shower rooms toilets and that would be strong enough.

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear

I meant to use the anti-slip paint on the ply floor and up the lower lining panels. You can make water tight by running a nice bead of silicone around the perimeter

Yeah found that on the Bay to...which would look better? Or both?

Does anyone think its goint to be just as cheap from a local shop?

Rather than paying delivery cost..
