BACK TO THE BEDS

Postby chasnjess » Mon Oct 08, 2012 10:26 am

Hi I have tried to mock up sizes for a 6ft bedding area to be made up from two seats facing each other with a centre fill in, so that I can put removeable table in the space in the middle Can anyone who has finished a conversion give me their cushion size depths, and also what is their total seat height is for comfort.
Any help at all please .............Thanks Bruce

I dont think there is a "standard" height for your seating. I am 6' and my wife is 4' 11". Many people use ex caravan cushions, some make their own. I cut up a memory foam mattress for our base cushions and my wife is covering it.
Why not just measure the height of a chair in your house that is comfortable and base your seats on that. Remember, you will need a reasonably deepish foam for a comfortable nights kip.

The proper way to do it is to buy some lay flat seats from :

Vehicle & Marine Window Co - Window Frame Sales And Service in Birmingham B9 5AA

Address:
36B Victoria Street
Birmingham
West Midlands
B9 5AA
0121 772 6307

They are the proper job used by people like Leisuredrive and formerly by Holdsworth and Danbury Campers.
