tv/dvd freeview?

Ok ive a 19" tv/dvd to put in the van my question is has anybody fitted a freeview box /arial what kind and are they any good

You need a status directional mate... anything else would be "making do "

Oh and a signal finder to find the best signal when moving aeriel ,, then yoiu need to retune your freeview everytime you move on.

Or just dvds lol sounds a few bobs worth its dvds till i have enough cash

Bit steep tbh.. if u want all channells im afraid you gotta pay it.... may be cheaper getting an old satellite dish and box tbh .. i have freeview and sat in my caravan

sat dishes are a basrard to tune in on every trip tho...

Its only for weekends out and about wi the wife kids dogs so dvds are prob fine for time being

We have a small flat screen digital TV in the kitchen it's connected to a 30 year old indoor set top aerial that sits on the floor, points through one internal door and the patio doors and it picks up all digital channels. We also live in a low reception area! We are still amazed at how well it works!

I got one of these for my van for my last trip away but only tried it once when in Devon and it gave a great signal, but outside of my house its crap but I'm in a bad signal area.
You need to put it on a metal area as its magnetised and uses it as an earth to help with the signal.

Ill have to look into this thats not a fortune ive an invertor fitted in the van so prob get off with a cheep set top box

You can get a 360 degree aerial that you can permanently fit on the roof. gear it to a small freeview tv in the van.

Search the net for caravan ariels,

We have a touring caravan with a standard small Ariel and booster, job done easy to tune in etc.

Guys,
I have a goodmans 19" which was from comet a couple years ago,
all newish tv's have freeview, sat box not needed (if any one is intrested i have a sat kit, dish box and all aldi kit in a box for sale)
it was a 240Volt with a 12 volt brick in line, 12 VOLT cool new 12 tv for £99,
oh and the ariel, belive me its a old indoor ariel which we just chuck on the drivers seat till we get a signal, it works a lot better than our propper caravan job,
dont cut the cable coz you can have the best of both worlds on hook up aswell
