Mk6 day van conversion (gonna be a long one)

Postby gingertoy » Thu Nov 20, 2014 1:01 pm

Hi guys sorta new here been a member for a little and been reading up on coversions and fancy making the inside of my van a better place as we go away mountain biking alot. I don't plan on having a full on conversion just a bit of insulating, carpeted with a removable sleeping area some electric sockets. I recently bought my second mk6 in moondust silver full electric pack air con etc she cos me £2970 on a 05 plate the 100ps here she is

Had her for two weeks everything good she pulls real well then went to start her outside a mates and boom fuel pump f*** :-( just like that a £700 fix utter bollox ! ha ha oh well my budget for doing the van just got slashed in half so progress has been halted before i really started !

I'm hoping to have her back this weekend as i have a sony xav-602bt head unit to go in a 12" vibe black air bass box with built in amp 2 vibe black air 6x9's a vibe slick amp,i need to pick up some 7x10's for the front door cards in the next day or two and also a leisure battery/split charge kit so got my hands full ! ha ha

Will be kept updated with pics as i try my effort !

Well i have had the van back after it being in the garage for 3 and a half weeks and a little over £1100 lighter in the pocket, new diesel pump and cam chain kit, that's finished me off it was going to be a slow process in the first place... can't imagine the time frame on the project now plenty of time for planning it out i guess ! ha ha
