can you run halogin spotlights off 12volt?

you can get inverters that change 12v to 250 from gooutdoors so was gonna run three halogin downlights off that cos i heard its hard to get led ones and ther exspensive does anyone know wer and how much before i buy ne of these power inverters

these are a good type for 12v low wattage use, you can get 6w and more ones too, run straight off battery using ceramic holders or light units.

i've decided im gonna install battery powerd led's as ther cheaper and easier to fit no messin plus ther only £1.90 the led down lights are ridiculous prices just for one bulb the batterys ones are same jst battery powerd its better SORTEDD

12v led downlighters are not too expensive, i think i paid
about £12 pounds each for 2.5watt ones. they are super
bright & use very little electric.
look at mine on members progress landliner mk1 camper

You don't want to be converting 12 to 240v then having to use 12V packs to bring it back down again as the losses would be huge!

You just need to get some LED lighting, the best stuff we use in our works vans is strip lighting its low consumption and is bright as anything!

Oh Halogen lights use a lot of power and produce a lot of heat, I ended up taking mine out of my old camper as they were melting all the backs and wiring behind the lighting unit.
