Adding the radius's would have taken me another hour  I usually use 3D Max for this sort of thing but I thought I'd try google sketchUP, it's very good and it's free.

Wow! nice drawings Joe, thanks for the effort mate, you've been a great help.
I bought a pair of the plastic table hooks, they were only 1.73, but too flimsy for this table, so I'm gonna use them on a wee side table I had planned.
I ended up buying shelving brackets from Wickes and adapted them for the table

I cut the size I needed then drilled and countersunk a second mounting hole. I had to cut it with the grinder as a hacksaw was only scratching it

Then I mounted them on the doors

I put the brackets on and offered up the table, checked it was level and marked the brackets underneath.

Had to use a couple of nuts as spacers

It was a wee bit fidly to fit the table on but after a wee adjustment it was fine. It's good and sturdy, and the brackets won't be obtrusive when the table is off.
Thanks guys, I couldn't have done it without all your help :D

Cheers lads, a bit of brain storming on here did the trick. Thanks again to everyone who put forward ideas, they all helped. I'm about 80% into my conversion at the moment and will try to post some pics of the build so far. This site has helped me no end, just wish I'd found it before I started

Yes, forums like this one are invaluable. It always amazes me just how helpful people are.

I set up the DIY Camper Van Builders Forum a couple of months ago with the intention of bringing together those of us who are building our own camper vans. We only have around 50 members at the moment but new people are joining all the time. So if this is something you'd like to be a part of why not join up? and share your build, problems and solutions with others.

Cheers Guys
