Minibus to camper van re-registration problems

Hi im very glad ive found this post as im in a simalur position it's a bit of a long story but here i go,A few years back i bought an L reg transit 80 SWB camper it states on the v5 as a camper or motorhome i haven't got the details on hand at the moment, well that van has been overcome with rust and a dodgy back axle so rather than repair it i bought a T reg 80 SWB van for £500 and have changed the camper roof over, this van has also had rust problems to the floor but ive nearly repaired that now.All the fixtures and fittings out of the L reg are sitting in a garage waiting to be fitted to the T reg.Im wondering do i have to have camper or motorhome on the v5 as i am on my fathers motor traders insurance, which covers me for any vehicle as long as im licenced for it, for social domestic and pleasure purposes.Also if i did decide to get it changed on the V5 would it help providing them the old van v5 as the inside is going to be exactly the same i have got photos of the old one but not detailed ones would i need them?. I still have quite alot to do and would realy like to have the v5 right because if i was to sell it,it would be worth more.Also the older L reg van that was the camper didn't start off as a camper as it has signs of builders sign writing on it.I do still have to old gutted van would it be worth taking photos of it now and also i dont have any receipts as im just doing a change over so what should i do thanks luke.

I'm new on here and also had problems when i tried to change the log book from a van to a camper
after the conversion i did.Took it to my local dvla centre.Clipboard man came out checked it all over so it meets the minimun requirements, said it was ok.
he then changed the log book title to a VAN WITH WINDOWS saying some gobbledy gook about being first registered after a certain date, but for all intents and purposes it can be insured as a camper.I then went off and mot'd it as a class 4 rather than the class 7.
So the upshot of this post is one, to say hi to all and two, can anyone explain the gobbledy gook(p.s cant remember if there was a fee at the end of it all)
