The sticky at the top of this section is a good start.

Hello,
Looks like you are doing a great job! Lots of work. From one of the photos I see a Dometic RM2193 absorption refrigerator. They work great as I have had two of the. Suggest if you use the propane version, which works fine, you provide an air input low and air output high. This will remove heat generated and make refer run better. A small fan is added which I run when it is hot outside, it helps a lot in keeping the temperature low. I added a switch for the fan and LED light (which draws very little) so I know when the fan is on.
Is your Transit a Mark VII, 2006 or newer. I am considering doing a conversion and would love two dimensions: from metal van floor to the bottom of the rear door windows and height of rear van windows. Since I am new to the Forum, I do not know how to add photos - I have a photo of the refer, vents and fan I would like to send you.

Thanks,

Sinbad

The sticky at the top contains the minimum fittings you must have to get a vehicle reregistered as a camper with the DVLA.
The information I have supplied is part of the Gas safety and use regulations (I am a Heating Engineer and have the gas qualifications required to work on Leisure Accomodation Vehicles)
The DVLA regulations do not take installation practice or safety into account, they only say what you must have, not what you must fit.
Tell me what you are planning on doing and I will try to advise accordingly

hm not had a good day, got a call from the guy paining my bumper and mirror caps, the paint isn't sticking to the bumper etc.

Now he is a good painterso I know used the correct platic primer etc.

Looks like the bumpers are caed in silicon, which is a nightmare to get rid off, the only thing I can think of is its something the dealer used to tart up the van when trying to sell it, and I;ve not had it long so there is still loads of remains of silicon on the bumpers.

The mirror covers are fine but I bought new from Ford, so its looking like the easiest option s to get a new bumper to pant.

On the plus side the chrome door handles arrived so there at least fitted.

also like the job so far, i've also bought a network rail 06 plate, stripped and as you say takes more time than you think! im interested to know if you matched the roof lining material with what was fitted when you got it as mine was only lined to the partition, where did you get it from if so?? :?:

The roof lining isn't matched to the original as like yours its only lined to the partion, I bought my lining from
http://www.megavanmats.com/apps/webstore/products/show/2026379

However if you can get a corded version then t would be pretty much a 99% match depening on colour. The deal above was just about enough for me to do the whole job.

A few more pis as the side bars arrived today so i've been out fitting them this morning.

Looking good 8) i like the front as the white on the outer bumper looks better than the trend and limited spec with the white centre and grey outer : :D
And yes you do need some spots on that kidi catcher
