Good morning,
maybe this is important to all camper drivers:
my friend Ottmar has a campervan, in Germany it is then : Sonder Kfz Wohnmobil or so. This means one is not allowed to park the camper where normal cars do. And it costs money which will be collected by friendly people in uniform or by means of a note under the windscreen wiper.
I didn´t know that ... even if it is a Transit of normal size .
So, maybe this can safe money ,
have a nice Holiday

That's an excellent conversion, well impressed.

You could try London Taxi hub caps if you just want the front. There are also full sets on eBay which are very deep dish for the front and standard for the rear. I don't know if anyone makes recessed rear hubcaps for the mk8.

Another option, isn't it possible to fit the front trims you have on the rear too? It would at least cover the hub.

Last year, my wife and I had a subscription to "Landvergnügen". It's a book that you buy for €50, and you get a "membership card". There's a phone app, too.

With the membership, you can find farms that have spaces for motorhomes. Usually, you can stay there for free (but they do recommend that you buy something from the farmer's store when you're there). Some places do offer a power line for 1 - 2 Euros per night, or access to restrooms or showers for a few Euros as well.
