Hi can somebody please explain please I have just bought a ZIG CF9 for my minibus conversion and it says to fit the new 12S supplementary plug and socket to van .
Is this the hook up or something entirely separate. I have got my round the wiring of the unit but this bit is throwing me.
Another question is that I was going to fit leisure battery into engine compartment, if the ZIG unit is fitted at the rear end of van should I fit the battery closer to the unit (does this matter)
Any help please.........Bruce

A quick google bought up this  http://www.yoc4x4.co.uk/pdf/Ystradgynla ... Wiring.pdf.
I would imagine it best to have battery and zig close, as there will be less live wire routed through the vehicle .My caravan has all the main stuff like that in close proximity.

12S socket is a trailer auxillary socket which powers things like fridges from the towing vehicle battery. It the grey towbar socket.

The zig will be charging the leisure batt. so to get minimal voltage drop in your case betwixt them i would use at least 4mm sq cable, 10m of this should cover it,

Unless towing i would cut out with scissors the bit about 12s socket and roll a fag with it.
