A bit more done, just laying out the van and cutting profiles and templates to transfer to a vaneered panel. Thing is a 1440 x 1200 x 15mm ply vaneered both sides panel is over £100 shocking.
The same sized panel in a chip board format is cheaper. There cannot be alot of difference in weight, i guess the ply is stronger ?
I thought this would be the easy bit !

We bought single sided 6mm ply veneered panels and lined 12mm ply with them. I think they were about 30 - 35 quid for an 8x4 sheet. Problem with using chipboard is if it gets damp it tends to swell

You could buy some laminate sheet and laminate your own Ply wood, try lawcriss panels - loads of different laminates,
