Battery

Postby Beth » Thu Dec 06, 2012 2:37 am

I need to replace the battery in my Ford Transit 2002 motorhome. Which is the best battery to purchase? Do I need one with a tube that transfers gases to the outside of the vehicle?

Buy the biggest that will fit in the space, preferably a known brand such as Bosch or Varta, and yes it needs the hole to connect the vent tube

Absolutely, avoid the local car parts specials that are 'just as good as', false economy!

To darkbluevanman...thank you for your reply. Just found out I do not need to replace battery at this stage but I will remember your comments when I do. Took three charging batteries to get van kick started. Looks like battery is holding charge so buys me some time before I need to replace. Once again, thank you. Cheers Beth
