Removing all stuffs, panels, roofs, floor..

Removing dashboard, original dashboard is very ugly, I dont like 90's color and plastic feel, any cheap idea to modernize with profesional result? Paint? Moquette? Synthetic leather? Any tutorial?

I would like sportize this 90's speedometer too

I was reading about flocking, I like it but is expensive for me budget, around £250 only the dashboard, maybe exist a DIY spray, do you know it?

After a hard cleaning with aire compresor and karcher I've treated small points of rust

You are doing a good job and the dash looks cool.

Not too sure about the pine cladding but early days yet, it might grow on me.

Is this build in Spain?

Petrolear is brush with oil or thereabouts, van is looking better with more wood it's growing on me, but I can't get over the fact you manage to afford it not to mention find it

Only one thing which would worry me is the ITV as you know the Spanish are Bastardos for paperwork even when it applies to simple jobs like fitting a side window or tow bar. Best to act daft with a Que! if they query it. You must be eligible or thereabouts for a half yearly one which really sucks if the vehicle is low mileage.

Thanks TIMO!! Do you have a topic about your van? It looks camperized.

VanBooter, yeahh it looks you know petrolear :D but I did with a compresor and a gun. You are right with the spanish ITV (MOT test), the legality is very ambiguous and depends of the ITV Station and the mechanic... anyway I will do a homologation project.

Today I installed the second battery and a fuse box

Hi Alberizo,

I know this thread was from many years ago, but i'm planning a camper conversion so currently looking for inspiration. The work you did looked great, do you still have the camper? Did you get any pictures of the finished product?

Hello Sam,

Start a new thread, with which van you are going to convert, and then hopefully you'll get replies appropriate to the van type. Low roofs, mid-roofs and hi-tops are generally converted in different ways, for example lower/shorter vans get rock'n'roll beds and mini kitchens, hi-tops often have reclaimed caravan interiors fitted or something similar built from scratch.
