keeping the cab / living area warm ...

Postby matt86_wd2 » Sat Feb 01, 2014 3:41 pm

Im my van it taken ages to get warm in the cab as i have a half bulkhead and when in the back of the van heat dissipates through the windows , i was wondering what you guys have done to prevent this ?

I was thinking a curtain but a thick one like a cheapo sleeping bag to make into a curtain ???

ah yes thats the plan in the future but not at top of priorities list .

next big thing will be a waeco fridge with leisure batts and a solar panel.

The vehicle heater will always struggle to heat the rear, when the van is not actually being driven, at idle they don't heat up very much

i have found that out but i mean i want to keep the cab warm when driving as the heat is escaping into the back , so thats why i thought of a thermal curtain also thought would be less space to heat up if got a heater going in the rear of the van .

or do i just get some thermal screen covers for that problem as heat escapes through windows

Of you want a curtain then a duvet cover is thick enough as I used one in my van before I crew cabed it
