Thinking of starting a conversion

Postby dots46 » Wed Jun 25, 2014 7:10 pm

Hi

I am currently thinking of starting a conversion. The vehicle is not ideal as it's a smiley SWB, standard height. Not ideal but looking at others conversions it does seem like it would work. The reason why I am using this van is because I already have it, it's tidy, turbo diesel and I know it's reliable (touch wood) One thing not really covered has been the matter of the toilet. Obviously at my vans size means a fixed cubicle is out of the question. How do others get round this please in similar situations? I appreciate it's not really a problem if stopping at pay camp sites but just thinking about wildcamping and french aires?
Many thanks

Hi there, we've just been through this dilemma as we've got a mwb and I wanted a full width long bed which left no room for a toilet cubicle, and have ended up getting a small thetford bog which is used in the minuscule living area when its just me and the other half, or goes into one of those popup toilet tents when there's a load of us. Never had a problem when wilding using the pop up tent as it can be put up or taken down in seconds. Hope this helps and good luck with the conversion...
