Leisure battery under bonnet?

Postby screechowl » Fri Oct 03, 2014 11:06 am

Any advice on where to run the wires from it if you put the leisure battery under bonnet?? The lead is too short so it would have to go on floor in foot well of passenger side, which I don't fancy cos it gets damp down there with wet wellies etc...

Theres a rubber grommet above where the leisure battery would go. In all the proper conversions I seen, they use this grommet (or urs may be blanked) and come through into the glove compartment and up into the plastic facia over the A pillar and along.

There is also another grommet on drivers side above battery.

Remember your negative doesn't have to return to the battery, only to somewhere on the chassis, so you can use a nice big live cable and split it up somewhere easier. Also keep in mind that grounding to chassis promotes rust in the long term :) but who cares, van will rust anyway :(

Extend the cable, and run it as described by Kedishen
