Weight & dimensions of 1988 ford transit 120 autosleeper

Postby Jimimitch » Fri Jan 02, 2015 7:28 pm

Hey guys,

Im still struggling to get hold of a user manual / instruction booklet for my "1988 Ford Transit 120 Autosleeper legend (2L petrol)"...........I called autosleeper parts, was on hold for a half hour an just gave up (not the best idea to call on friday the 2nd of Jan!!)

While i am awaiting response for Autosleeper parts department, has anyone got an idea on the dimensions / weight of my vehicle??? Even if someone could give me a rough steer that would be great. In fact any help will be kindly appreciated.

Kind regards

Jimmy

Your van is probably plated to a maximum weight of around 3000kg, and I guess the the unladen weight is around 2600kg.

As for dimensions, I'm sure you own a tape measure ;)

bout 16ft... fairly certain legend is on swb chassis with a small AS extension and width with mirrors is 7ft 6" iirc. Pretty sure my old amethyst was that width.

Hi Kedishen

http://www.autosleeper-ownersforum.com
There is the auto sleeper Owners Forum (we are members on our AS no 3) you could sign up on there and perhaps ask if anyone could supply a copy of the manual for the cost of photocopying and postage. The manual we had for our Duetto had only been photocopied by Autosleepers. They are very helpful on there but they do like you to introduce yourself in the correct section at the beginning (just their little quirk I think)

You could try the Autosleeper owners club. http://www.asoc.uk.com/index.htm They can supply manual etc if that helps.
This has a cost option but the technical information could be helpful.

autosleeper at Willeresey are very good and I am surprised you got put on hold for so long - you could email them as they have in my experience always replied.

Good luck

thanks for the suggestion, but I am not the one that needs the manual. I already sold my autosleeper.
