Well back again, sorry about the double up pics on the last post not sure were I went wrong.
Since then theres been a bit of a story to this build, brought this van with intention to build a 4x4 camper {as we like camping on the beaches and back country and you could say there's a lot of that in Australia} with ford ranger box and transfer case, but not been able to find one at my price, {and the age of the van}, decided to upgrade power plant instead as I found a 1 year old crate motor with only 20000 ks since new, problem was it was 2000ks away, so flew there bought it, then drove it back in a couple of days.
As mine had an ASM box, this unit was manual which had been rebuilt when motor was fitted,so changed everything over which ment wiring loams engine bay and dash. After a couple of weeks all changed over went away in it for its major first trip, 2000k in four days away and everything worked well. It was a 125ps chipped ecu and man it pulls like crazy after the 90ps one that was in it and the ASM box.
This hole builds been out of the square so to speak, also chuck me some unrequired problems, but now its done, been away in it, bare altering the bed to gain more storage underneath, am quite happy with the usability of the inside and now the way it drives and travels.
major question I guess? would I go do it again? yes, with a few changes in materials used. hope you have enjoyed the coverage.
