Under van water tanks

Looking at fitting a couple of tanks under our Mk7 in next few weeks. Thinking of ordering two of the Fiamma 70l ones, one for fresh water one for waste. Are they suitable to go under the van? I know CAK tanks are supposed to be great but at £300 for a pair compare to £110 for a pair its fair to say they're a bit steep

Well the Fiamma arrived today. Had a bit of a squint under van and I'm pretty sure it will go in under drivers side. Brake lines down passenger side and prop in middle. If it all goes well I'll do same with waste.

On drivers side is the body/chassis the same as passenger side around the diesel filler point? Looks the same from inside the van. Could put the water tank fill point there which would be pretty handy. Otherwise would have to do it with some hose connections or something

is it possible to buy and then fit a second fuel tank but mount it on the opposite side of the van (tourneo custom) to the fuel tank and then use it for water?

I have my fresh water filla mounted inside the cab into the bottom of the B post of the drivers door opening .Transits have a handy housing at the base of each B post. The tank is just behind the drivers area where you are thinking of fitting yours
I'll get a pic later . The only problem with it is you have to be careful not to spill any or it goes straight down under the step trim and rusts the step out eventually

Not sure if all transits have this boxing to the base of the B posts but they are handy for sticking things in like the water tank filla caps

that would be too easy
I made mine out of ply then lined it with fiberglass been going over a year now no Leakey leaky
those plastic ones way are too small for my effluent

Alright mate. could you tell me which tanks you used for under the van? the fiamma ones ive found are looking to big. Cheers

Hi, does your van pass the mot ok with a hole like your fill point so close to the seat belt mounting.
