2009 Trend rear floor

Postby mr_so » Thu Jan 19, 2017 6:10 pm

Is there something odd about the 2009 T260 2.2 Trend which would make the rear floor different to other SWB 2009 transits? I was going to grab a ready made floor off of ebay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122312283114 ) to save myself the bother of cutting one but the seller reckons it won't fit :?

Don't really know why - I thought the "Trend" label just meant extra toys.

I bought one of their 12mm thick panels for my 2011 SWB Mk7, and it was a perfect fit. I phoned Customshop with a couple of queries before ordering, and they were extremely helpful, so I suggest phoning them and asking.

My local timber suppliers quoted me £80 for the panels, so the extra £25 to have it perfectly cut is well worth it in my opinion.

Did they give a reason? Doesn't make sense to me, I tried the compatibility search and got 'This item does not fit Ford Transit 2009 -- [2006-2016] 2.2 TDCi.' yet this is what they are listing it for, very strange. :?:

My thoughts too Beaker, just a nicer level of trim and a colour matched front end.. I was looking a tthis because for the extra cost it is worth not having to do it myself, now I'm not sure whether to order it or not though. :| I'll give them a ring and see if they have any other thoughts I guess..

That's what I did too rimotu66, which is what prompted me to contact them and ask, they didn't give a reason, just said it wouldn't fit..

There are a variety of differences on Swb van floors , rwd,fwd,2sld etc

But base, trend and limited trim levels make no difference. Although the limited usually has a factory rubber mat floor.

And who's this pinto I keep hearing about nad?

That's a bit odd - I'm convinced that mine showed as compatible when I ordered mine, but now it says not. Maybe it's just just a glitch on the listing.

I did phone with a query before I ordered, and I did do what they say on the listing, namely attach a note with the order giving year/model details.

Delivery was really quick and like I said earlier, it's was a millimetre perfect fit.

Probably a dumb question, but do I just need 2 sheets to DIY it? It is already lined but the floor is a mess, if I can get it out without too much damage I might be able to use it as a template to cut a new floor myself..
