Not really possible I'm afraid - how long is your piece of string? - the costs of different components can vary hugely and it depends on what level of comfort you demand.

For example a steel Rock and Roll bed could cost as little as £200, or as much as £2000 if you want a nicely upholstered, crash tested version.

It also depends on how much you want to DIY or buy in. You could build a kitchen and cupboards for £200 or buy in a self assemble kit for well over a grand.

Want a fridge? £600 vs passive ice box £100.

You really need to sit down and plan out what you want, then price up your major items like fridge, cooker, sink etc, then price up batteries and wiring kits, insulation material etc.

If you REALLY scrimp and recycle, it could be possible for as little as a grand. On the other hand I've read blogs by people who have spent twenty grand on the conversion!

If it's any help at all, our conversion budget was a measly two grand - I reckon we will have spent nearer three when complete. No fridge, no TV. no soundsystem etc.

Yeah, if you are going to recycle caravan parts and equipment, that is certainly a way to keep your costs down.

Think carefully about what you need in the van. Look at the websites to see what other people have done. Visit showrooms and take measurements/get ideas.

Vampirequeen is right, take your time to look at as much stuff as possible - Pinterest is great for seeing what other people have done. Look at stuff "in the flesh" too, it really helps.

As she says "think carefully about what you need", you need to make sure you spend wisely - don't scrimp on what you need, then overspend on something you don't.
