Hi all. I know this thread is nearly 3 years old, but faced with a similar challenge, I was wondering if anyone else had tried to fit a Fiamma awning to their MK8 recently? If so - what was your experience and was it worth it in the end?
I've got an L3 H2 (2015) and have been looking at the F80 fixed to the standard roof fixings if possible. Unfortunately like dumper back in 2018, it doesnt look like Fiamma have produced any adapters for this model. Any advice from others who have looked into this would be appreciated. Many thanks.

Hi mate, I know this was from a while ago but could you specify which Fiat bracket you adapted so I could buy the same to adapt. Thanks.

John Cooper at. Scunthorpe fitted mine on aL4 he used a extra bracket in the middle as mine is longer then the roof of the van.they bolt straight to the side of the roof and it’s reinforced insid the van 01724 850888

From memory it’s a f40 & 5 m long it goes from about a foot in front of the curved part of the roof to about 6 inch from the rear of the van it’s a bit long really bit it was the only way to get it to cover the sliding door I will see if I can get a photo up on here and find the exact model.

Cheers dumper, I thought the f45 was the best option.. The worry I have is the lack of specific brackets for the mk8 but i have seen photo’s of them fitted. Do you know if they used standard fiamma brackets or if they had to modify or make their own?
Cheers
Rob.

Yes standard ones I tried one local dealer who couldn’t be bothered but John Cooper at Scunthorpe was very helpful they supply and fitted it no problem I went in the with the van for them to have a look and they got all the fittings and the awning and did it the next week.
