1975 Mk 1 Transit Campervan

Postby Betty » Mon Mar 25, 2019 11:44 pm

I have a Jennings Roadranger which is based on a 1975 Mk1 Transit. I am trying to find somebody locally to me (Woking) who knows about caring for a vintage camper and can help me repair things like her back lights and refurbish her electrics and perhaps the heater and water pump. So far any caravan or motorhome engineers I have seen don't want to know, so any recommendations would be really appreciated.

Electrical systems in a 1975 Transit are basic and straightforward and should be in the scope of any decent motor engineer. The only problem I could imagine you might have is availability of Transit-specific switchgear/lighting clusters etc.

I'm sorry I can't help with any local businesses.

That's a nice looking van. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for your comments, I think I might have found some one nearby so finger's crossed. I'll keep the forum posted.

Yes a very nice looking mk1, is the condition of it as good as it looks?
