Maxxfan ?

Has anyone an opinion on where to place one of these?
I've decided to fit one instead of midi heki as they're supposed to draw cool air through the van in which case I'm thinking at the rear as far back as possible (l3h2 mk 8) which is where the base of my bed will be keeping the van cool.
Hopefully it'll be the only hole I have to cut into the roof other than the solar wire inlet.

I've got the L4 and put it in the largest panel with a type of cross in the paneling.ImageImage

Mine is at the front by sliding door and mini heki at rear to draw cool air through at night. i got a big solar panel across the roof of the van in between.

Wow loving your roof lining there! I’m quite jealous to be honest

Off topic for the fan query but its bending it for the front that gets exciting 9mm matchboard? Thanks BTW

Nice, I was hoping to just have one roof vent/fan so thought it best to have in the rear as to draw air through an open window overnight but after trying the bed out over the bank hols I think sleeping arrangements now means the fan will be above my head.
How noisy is it when running on low overnight?

I saw a fan 'noise' comparison on youtube, I think it was Greg Virgoe on one of his more recent videos. He was replacing product X fan with a maxxfan and the difference in 'noise' was really really noticeable. The difference was noticeable to a point where I remember the name Maxxfan and also when I install a fan in my next van I will be buying a maxxfan. Nothing scientific on my response but the video may have had a decibel/sound monitor to give statistics.

Cheers

Just to say I'm in the south of france 32c last night and the fan on 20% was very quiet and dragged a cooling draft for us all night. Lifesaver for sure
