VSR wiring size advice please

Postby truxx » Sat Sep 14, 2019 11:18 am

Hi.

I'm fitting a leasure battery at the rear of my van so I bought a durite split charge relay from ebay...
Problem is that the cable from the starter battery to the LB is the same size as the vans battery wiring (very thick) but durite VSR terminals only seem to accept smaller 16mm2 (100a) cable.

Can I use the thicker cable from starter batt to LB compartment into a fuse block then use the smaller 16mm2 cable from that into the VSR and into the leasure battery?

Reason I'm using the thicker wire is because it was already run to rear of van to power a chair lift (ex mobility van) .

Appreciate any advice.

Thanks
Dave

Yes it’s only the same as if you had connected straight onto the battery terminals

Cheers for the reply dumper.

It seems pretty obvious really now that I thought about lol but was worth checking.
Thanks again.
