Also in the process of fitting electrics to 2018 custom. I have just got the CTEK 250 delivered from 12v Planet and when reading the installation manual I noticed it needs a +ve ‘engine on’ feed to make sure it recognises the smart alternator. I was wondering where you took this feed when you installed yours.

Cheers

There's a special connector under the driver's seat, which has D+ as one of it's pins.
You can buy a special Ford connector at ~£50!!
I got one 2nd hand off here, but turned out it was for the 2.2 engine, 2.0 engine has different connector, so I butchered the connector and just connected to the pin I needed - works a treat.

Today I soundproofed the rear wheel arches.

I used Noico 80 mil (2 mm) 18 sqft (1.7 sqm) car Sound deadening mat, this size provides 9 sheets.
I used 5 sheets to cover both wheel arches, leaving 4 to spread around the panels.

Required:

Panel wipe, stanley knife, scissors, roller, straight edge, cutting board, a heater, or heat gun, something to kneel on and plenty of tea.

This stuff is easy to work with when it is warm, and rolls together nicely, fill any gaps with offcuts and roll.
Total time about 3 hours if you are particular.

Just fitted a "TOGUARD Dash Cam 10" Mirror Video Streaming Rear View Dual Lens 1080P Car Camera"
Cheap, easy to fit using a "Micro & Mini USB Hard Wire Box Kit Charger Adapter For Dash Camera DVR"
Great rear view mirror alternative / dashcam / reversing camera

This weekend we fitted a Customshop Designs double swivel to our transit custom
I was a bit apprehensive after seeing a lot of mixed reviews and videos, but, after 5 hours, with patience tested...its in and working, and is easy to use.
I have added a thread on here with full details for anyone interested.

I did similar, added the rear view camera while I was insulating and before fitting the roof lining panels - works a treat and the wire was (just) long enough to reach the back door of my L2 :D
