Hi again guys,
Apologies for keep coming back to this, but I've moved things towards reality now and still have a couple questions if I might.
I have:
220AH AGM Battery in rear, near wheel arch
500W Solar Panels (2 x250W) with MPPT, isolator and fuse
Electric hook-up socket to consumer unit and 2 mains sockets
Mains battery charger plugged into mains sockets
12-way fuse box to supply LED lights, 12V sockets etc
Pure sine wave inverter
And I plan to wire it all up this weekend.
So this means today I have 4 connections to leisure battery - Solar panels (MPPT), Mains Battery Charger, 12V Supply fusebox and Inverter supply wire.
I am still undecided if I NEED to add a dual sensing VSR (Split charge) between van front AUX battery and my new battery setup - I understand if I do use a dual sensing one my solar charge / mains hook up connected to my new AGM battery will also charge the van AUX battery as well as the reverse of van motor charging my new battery? So that's what interests me in case van ends up sitting a while.
But if I do that, I will then have FIVE decent sized wires connecting to battery. How do you guys do that? I only have a single post on battery (its arriving tomorrow).
I saw a post where someone used a junction box from screwfix (100 amp) to put all positive cables into, then a single wire to battery. Anyone done this?
Ive probably gone way over the top here for what I will likely use it for - a few LED lights, diesel heater, 12V Fridge, some USB sockets for phone charging and of course, the all important 12V TV! But I figured I would out the best I could in that doesn't mean the wife kills me due to spend...but thats getting close now....
