Nice job mate I’ve only ever been on a proper camp site in 35 years 4 times and never used a hook up as long as you have a run round during the day or so to keep battery topped up should have no problems of grid even in winter.

Yep been out in it last weekend and used tv all day with fridge on and diesel heater for couple hours and battery was still at 13.7v - panel was putting out 37v
i run a 375watt panel with a 220 ah agm battery and seems good, can't wait to try it out for a week somewhere as a friend runs the same system and he goes off for weeks at a time and never uses a hook up.

Looks cool.

I'm doing a mk7 minibus right now.

Your layout with rear seat where is it, looks exactly what i am planning, except the wife insists on a toilet cubicle so that's going where you have the bench the other side of the table, right behind drivers seat

Where do the kids sleep?

They sleep behind driver seat, seating and table drops to form bed.

Just back from visiting Vantuner and having a mapping done(mk6 tddi 90ps), very good mapping exellent software, a lot smoother and quicker on acceleration, tons more torque (no more changing gears uphill) Plus i can now overtake :D i also noticed consumption was less on way home as 200 miles round trip and was'nt expecting to see it just yet, best money spent, cannot praise Martyn enough a very knowledgeable and likable guy,

That's a nice conversion. Out of interest, is the tv a 12v one or are you running it through an inverter? I'm at the stage of trying to decide whether to get an (expensive) 12v tv or if it will run reasonably well off the inverter, ie. won't kill the battery in half an hour. I won't be needing anything as big mind you as I'm only converting a SWB.

Hi
12v Cello TV, very good TV and can run for hours without a problem, they do smaller sizes and well worth it.

Before I got a camper one from Aldi I used a home spec one that had a 240v to 12 v dropper and got a lead made up run it off the van I only changed it because I do a lot of fishing in Southern Ireland as they run on a different system.
