Victron solar panels now fitted to our L4/H3

Finally started to get our conversion of a 2016 L4'H3 minibus underway.

The roof, sides and floor have all had acoustic mat put on and overcovered with a self adhesive reflective thermal layer. At the moment we have only refitted the cab area roof trim but thoughts are to put the factory trim back on the roof and sides where possible. Also intend to use at least one of the original luggage racks and possibly turn into cupboards. One huge pain is the factory sun roof which is in the way of just about everything!

The factory radio was replaced with a Pioneer touch screen with reversing camera, sat nav etc. All of the steering wheel controls were retained using an interface module from car-audio. Unfortunatly the one they list for the Ford Transit is incorrect but found one that worked in the end.

Removed the power step after switching it off in the management system and removing its control module to stop faults being indicated. Really got fed up with it killing the engine when placing in gear being told that step was out when it was not. Currently designing a circuit/pcb to control the step by simple manual buttons as required.

Attached a few pictures of the solar install using Victron 115W panels mounted on 45x45 aluminium extrusion. The roof brackets have been left oversize for now in case something else needs to be located on roof such as awning.

Started the floor layout as well using 30x30 extrusion to make up the floor similar depth to original and we can reuse the side step moulded cover and also the rear door step cover.
