Double cab swivel seats

Postby Applecider » Tue Aug 17, 2021 12:00 am

Hi wondering if anyone could assist :)

Would like to start making our 2016 custom into a van that can be used for work but also when needed for days out abs camping. Has anyone here got a swivel seat for the double passenger seat in the front?

If so where did u purchase ur plate and how did you find it?

Also ours has heated seats can u keep this feature or do they have to be disconnected? We were hoping to make the double seat turn around to face the back cab seats so we can dine facing each other

I’m going to try and see some pics of what you have all done already but would be so grateful if you could send me some ideas!

Thanks

Hi Applecider,

I came across the following recently when researching doing the same conversion to my front double seats.

Here is the tutorial

And the company that makes the plates

Good luck

I've got one in my mk8 350
It's a bit of a chew on turning as there's a bump in the floor between driver and passenger, I've lifted it slightly but still needs more washers under to clear it.
Also when turning back you've got to be spot on with alignment to get the turnbuckles done up, although you do get used to this the more you use it.
If single passenger seats weren't £650 I'd go that way but as is I'd do the double again .
Hope that helps.
