Has anyone done a home made elevating bed similar to the happijac system available in the USA? I’ve been having a go and willing to share info (if it works :lol: ) with anyone his interested

That’s really good! I might do that next time :lol:
Mine’s got pulleys and an electric winch. I got it wired up and tried it out today. It works well. Will add some pics tomorrow

You can upload photos, but can't upload videos directly to the forum.

Hi did similar to this in a forward control Canter in 1986 over seating area,(bed was across the vehicle) the biggest problem it having a vehicle that's allows the bed to be big enough for sleeping. in my case the width of the cab was wide enough at the back of the cab for a 6 ft person but the screen side was shorter. which wasn't to much of a problem the the people built it for but if both parties were 6 ft one would have to curl up to sleep. main thing is getting the rams sorted with the weight of the mattress as well. on a square build like the video it be fine or if you slept length ways it be of as well. hope that helps.
