How to dispose of van flooring? UK

Good morning all,

I'm just trying to get help/ideas with how to get rid of the plastic Ford Transit Custom flooring that can be found in the van's load area. I've cut the flooring up into easily managable sizes, but I've been told by my local Tip/recycling centre (Chesterfield, UK) that I cannot dispose of it there (supposedly due to it coming out of a van...). I've also been informed that I can't use a skip for it (and in fairness I'd be looking at £250+ for a small one anyway), I've also looked into the "man with a van disposal" and some have stated they can't dispose of it, the ones that can want £150?!

Quite honestly I find this rediculous and am beginning to see why fly tipping is sadly constantly on the rise...

Any help/advise on how people have gotten rid of theirs would be greatly appreciated.

My advice would be to cut it even smaller and put a few pieces in the rubbish bin every week (or fortnight!) Make sure that it isn't the top item in the bin

Take it to an unmaned recycling point, usually in a supermarket car park, obv cut it up so it fits in the bins.
Or do what everyone does round my way and just dump it outside the bin house on the local housing estate
