Havent done mine yet but i was told of this company. silentgliss.

http://www.silentgliss.co.uk/go/Home

These are the type some motorhome companies use, the lightweight type.

http://www.silentgliss.co.uk/go/Product ... ck+Systems

They use them because the tracts can be bent around corners, ect...

This is just an example of one type (the 1021) from their range....

Std. radius R '1021' = 100mm

The standard radius is recommended for optimal operation. The minimum possible radius is 60mm.

You can get a downloadable PDF from their site of the various types..

Hope this helps...

my old mk1 has curtains fitted - sorry no pics but basically a standard C section type rail -i think the same as dachre is on about but i cant see a pic in the link, the hooks cant come out other than at the ends and they bend easly :D

but the curtains were full length and fitted behind the seatbelts - they wouldnt go right up to the windscreen that was the only problem - if you left anything on the dash it could be seen :)

i think i'm gonna copy the same idea for mine :D

Hi
Is it curtains ? and nothing else will do ?
I have those foil/quilted looking window shaped 'panels' that you stick to the inside of the windows with 'suckers' ! (don't sound too bright put like that does it ? :?) I think they were about £40 the set
(screen & doors), don't block out 100% of the light, but do stop 'in' lookers !
Sorry don't have a pic, but if you are desperate I can take one :D

Hi Terry, yep I have silverscreens like you talk of, they're ok but a bit of a paint in the @rse taking them out sticking them up straight then putting away in the morning, also as they're bright silver not very discreet if used during the day

Bought 2 plastic curtains tracks from B&Q but havent done anything with them yet

Sometimes you wanna block off the light/prying eyes when parked during the day. Also if you're driving until the wee small hours, park, add on 8 hours for sleep and it's lunchtime!

Maybe it's just conincidence but atleast twice I've been stopped with the silver screens on (which scream someone is trying to sleep) and cars drive past tooting their horns

I have different sleep patterns to you. If I am doing a long run ( 2/3 days +) I generally go straight through 1st night then hotel 2nd night, then an hour or maybe 2, 3rd night, then hotel it the 4th night, van 5th night, .....e.t.c. not a great/long sleeper anyway.[ its my age !, you need less sleep as you get older !], you also make better time at night !
So generally the screen thingies are only used if we do a weekend away (Billing / North Weald or the like).
But they do the job. (stop people seeing as you are pissing in the 'empty' water bottle :D  :D )
Yes it is small enough :D  :?
