Autohomes Travelhome modernisation advice

Hello All,
I have a 89 Transit Autohomes Travelhome coachbuilt camper and was wondering what parts from the cab can de replaced with bits from newer transits. Ive seen a camper like mine with a smiley front, and im sure it hadnt had the chasis swapped (a lot of work i would think)
I was planning to buy a newer transit from the salvage and use it for bits. I wanted to know what model is the newest i can use, and iv i can change the doors, wings and bonet, dash? . . . can i use a turbo engine and the power steering?

you can change most of the bits as it's basically the same but it's not strait forward

have a search round the forum - theres a fair bit of info on most of it
