Wiring for a 2001 transit stereo

Postby fuel4life » Fri Jun 05, 2009 5:38 pm

I am trying to fit a stereo in my fathers transit its a clarion with standard iso.

I have the iso harness but it does not match up to transit wiring.

Not worrying about the speakers the wiring in the transit is the following colour:

black/orange
green/brown
green/yellow
black/green
black/yellow
green/brown

The wires on the harness are:

blue
black
orange
red
yellow

Can any one match them for me please?

Thanks :D

Don't know the colours off the top of my head but a set of Ford-ISO leads are only a couple of pounds? :?

The old iso adapter out of my mk5 needed a bit of slight bending and squeezing to fit the mk6 connectors (seem to remember it was similar for thr mk5). The plugs are not a perfect fit for the adapter socket but once they were forced in it worked fine. ISO adapter originally from halfrauds. If it looks like they should fit and almost do then persevere with the adapter.

The wires on the harness are:

blue Power Antenna
black Earth
orange +12v Switched
red +12v Illumination
yellow +12v Permanent (memory)
