Irony

Postby fulla » Fri Aug 14, 2009 10:33 pm

Just got back from Europe in my (basic, but comfortable) 1997 camper conversion. Built 3 beds in the back including a collapsible "bunk", carpeted the floor, fitted 2 new tyres, slapped some paint on and off we went. We did 7000 miles (Scotland to Portugal and back) in 4 weeks and no hint of trouble, then coming back up the M74, 50 miles from home, I got stopped by the police for a random MOT inspection...and given a prohibition notice.

300 quid later I'm street legal again with a shiny new welded rear cross member. I guess that's irony, but I can tell you it wasn't appreciated at the time!

ps: I've got some pics, but I can't seem to post them. Can I email them to someone to post?!
