Progress pics - be gentle

Postby Doberman0 » Sun Nov 13, 2011 10:29 am

Hi all,
Thought it was time to start posting a couple of progress pics to get some feedback, bear in mind i'm building this on my drive with next to no space so it's been a bit of a trial at times
Before

after still a long way to go - got to flatten the floor yet

little after

Again still working on it though
Image
Now with single front seat from scrappy - needs a clean up/recover but still long ways to go

Going to change work top - tried a cheap alternative with fablon  guess what - try cheap try twice
Image
Still got a lot to do, thanks to the forum though i have picked up some valuable info

My thoughts -
1.you can never have enough gaffer tape
2. if it don't work hit it with a hammer - if it breaks it needed fixing anyway

Nice work, just a small point, it's generally not recommended to use twin and earth for 240v on vehicles as it has been known to fracture. I used 16amp flexible salvaged from an old mains hook up lead and shrouded it where it went through ribs etc.

Nice job but I hope that you are a fully qualified member of the MTRCOACPI and not some cowboy fitter going around fitting them for cash.
Where did you get the carpet and how much was it please.

Got from ebay for about £70 called veltrim and comes with adhesive enough to keep a spotty teenager happy for a year :D

Looks great mate,I am ripping the old wall carpet out of mine, takes ages, and mine was coach built.
My new carpet was from Megavanmats, its brilliant you can shape it around corners, and it stretches like mad.
I was thinking of doing a conversion, but I think its beyond me.
I think if you dont enjoy doing it ,then it becomes hard work.

Looking good.

One thing I would say is those cupboard handles look a bit sharp to be at head height in a confined space, in my experience recessed is best.
