Hi all just registered and enjoyed the website immensley, just a thought i couln't find any images or data regarding the A series ford transit. Are these vehicles regarded as non transits or is is because there are very few left and there is very little interest in this model. I understand that these transits were troublesome and very quickly fell out of favour with some companies. In the past i have seen some really nice examples of the marque, with nice paint jobs, chrome bumpers etc they can look really smart.

when i left school in 79 ,i worked in a shop yts(youth training scheme) and they had one of these as a delivery vehicle....thats what got me into transits as i thought it was a transit mk2

A trip down Memory Lane! I'd forgotten about the A-series. Was it replaced by the Daily when Ford made the tie-up with IVECO?

Is there a forum for the D-series? I used to drive those before the HGV licence was invented!
