A Series Camper for sale.

Postby transit bandit » Tue Aug 11, 2009 1:03 am

I am selling an A series Camper.

Ideal for family holidays, summer festivals, steam fayres and classic rallys.

The motorhome underwent a re-furb a few years ago - but never got finished. Lots of nice work done - but still requires finishing off - so being sold as an 'on-going project', 'needing work', 'needing finishing'.

Following is a basic list of what has been done, what comes with the camper and also, what it needs.

Mechanical and Electrical -

* M.O.T. expired - due to the current condition of the vehicle and works already completed, I cannot see any major problems with the next M.O.T.
* Tax expired.
* Mileage showing 47,000, but impossible to guarantee.
* Normal Class 4/Car M.O.T.
* original v5
* Dimensions - length - 23 feet -(including rear carrier) /total body height - 9 feet 3 inches/ total width - 7 feet 3 inches.
* Was originally fitted with a 3500cc,straight 6 diesel engine, but has had a 1997, 2500cc, DI Transit engine and 5 speed MT75 aluminium gearbox fitted (engine covered 76,000 miles).
* Engine in lovely condition - starts and runs superbly.
* New cam-belt, alternator belt, filters and oil, diff oil and gear box fluid.
* Prop shaft altered to suit.
* Good braking system - replacement master cylinder, shoes re-lined/bonded, new fluid, some new pipes.
* Drums skimmed.
* Good exhaust.
* Good tyres - including spare.
* Leisure batteries will need a good charging, or possibly replacing.
* Some electrical work needed on the 12V/leisure battery connections.
* Main van battery - good.
* All lights and indicators work, but have intermitent fault - so will need checking (bad earth suspected).
* All light lenses present and okay.
* Needs speedo cable.
* Bonnet catch needs adjustment.
* All necessary welding needed to cab floor has been done (full seam gas welded).
* Chassis is a truck type and is in excellent condition.

Interior -

* 6 berth - Front dinette converts to a double, rear lounge/dinette converts to a double. Over cab bed is also a double.
* All cushions have been re-covered.
* Tailor made curtains in material to match cushion covers.
* Clad in pine with solid pine cupboards.
* Galley area with sinks, tap and drainer.
* Cooker, oven, grill - connected to gas.
* Valaint instantaneous water heater, giving hot and cold water to kitchen sink and bathroom/shower - connected to gas.
* Carver heater/fire (flued) - partialy installed, needs finishing.
* Electrolux fridge (with freezer tray) - connected to gas.
* All gas appliances have isolation valves.
* On board water tank.
* 12V water pump.
* 12V lighting throughout.
* 240V hook-up - fuse box - 240V sockets.
* Comes with zig unit, RCD/trip fuse box - not installed but will supply.
* Full-length roof rack and access ladder - supplied but not fitted securely.
* Transit drivers seat and double passenger seat - these need bolting in.
* Inertia reel seatbelts - need bolting in.
* Under seat storage and cupboards all round.
* Needs vinyl flooring, or carpeting throughout.
* Always dry stored - no damp or musty smells.
* Cab finished in white, body in primrose - paintwork not bad.
* Comes with spare set of windows.
* Rear carrier included.
* Gas bottle included.

If the right price is agreed I will get the van MOT as I doesn't need much to finish it off.
This is an amazing van.

I also have a mark2 transit travel home which i plan to restore, I dont have enough room for both vehicles and need to raise funds to carry out the work
