Campervan A0609 from 1977

Postby Ghia » Fri Jul 16, 2010 9:46 am

Al ready a few Years I was looking for a Campervan.

After looking at Toyota's Dolphin and other stuff, a Citroën C35, 25 & co (Fiat, Peugeot, Renault) or MB 507 or such looked also nice.

A friend sent me a link of a A-series Ford for sale.

It started as a joke, now I've got it ...

Love makes poorly sited ...

It is almost everything I was looking for in a Camper, except the buckets of work ...

The original York motor is'nt in it anymore, now it is fitted with a unknown 4 cilinder Turbo Diesel with a 5 speed (high and low) gearbox.

Wel, here is a pic., of its good site ..... :D

Hello,

Last weekend, I drove the Camper from the tip of the Netherlands 200 km to the the middle, were I live.

It was hard work, I was very happy I put earplugs in my head, could jused a pare more though ....

Took him to the Dutch MOT (APK).
They liked the car, not it's condition.....

They gave me lots of defect notices an thought I would not make it happen.
Fare to much welding work.

Well, not in my world, I can cook and bake a little with steel.

No MOT just jet.

6 nieuw tyres I need for starters.
Going from the bust Michelins 7.00R16 to the Bridstones 7.50R16, I think.

In the next view weeks I wil tear the whole inside out, and go from there.

Greetz
